Terms of Service

Welcome to ScholarPad. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ScholarPad, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our services. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Account

To use certain features of ScholarPad, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete registration information.
  • Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • All activities that occur under your account.
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to ScholarPad, including documents, notes, and study materials ("Your Content"). By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:

  • Store, process, and display Your Content to provide our services.
  • Use Your Content to generate AI-powered flashcards, quizzes, and summaries for your personal use.
  • Use anonymized and aggregated data to improve our services.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not violate any third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, or privacy rights. You agree not to upload any content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive.

4. AI Disclaimer

ScholarPad uses artificial intelligence to generate study materials including flashcards, quizzes, summaries, and chat responses. Please be aware that:

  • AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, errors, or incomplete information.
  • AI-generated content should be used as a study aid, not as a definitive or authoritative source.
  • You should always verify AI-generated content against your original materials and authoritative sources.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content.

ScholarPad is not a substitute for professional academic instruction, tutoring, or advice. Use AI-generated materials at your own discretion.

5. Payments, Subscriptions, and Purchases

ScholarPad offers a free plan, paid subscription plans, and one-time purchases such as exam question banks and study packages. All payment is processed securely through Stripe.

All sales are final

All payments to ScholarPad are final and non-refundable. This applies to every charge, including your first payment, automatic subscription renewals, and one-time purchases such as the ADAT Question Bank. We do not issue refunds, partial refunds, or credits for unused time, unused credits, or content you decide not to study. The free plan and the free previews are there so you can decide whether ScholarPad is right for you before you pay.

If the law where you live gives you a mandatory refund or withdrawal right that cannot be waived by agreement, that right still applies and nothing in these Terms takes it away.

Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of every billing period until you cancel.
  • You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancelling stops all future renewals. Your subscription and its paid features continue until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then end. No refund is issued for the remainder of that period.
  • If a renewal payment fails, we may suspend or downgrade your account until payment succeeds.
  • We may change pricing with at least 30 days advance notice. Existing subscriptions are honored at the current rate until the next renewal.

One-time purchases

  • A one-time purchase, such as an exam question bank, is a final sale. Once payment completes, the content is unlocked on your account.
  • Purchased content is licensed to you for your own study, for as long as your account exists and we continue to offer the platform. It is not transferable, resellable, or for sharing outside your account.
  • A one-time purchase does not depend on a subscription. Cancelling a subscription does not remove a package you have bought.

Payment disputes

If you open a chargeback or payment dispute instead of contacting us, we may suspend or revoke access to the purchased content and to your account while the dispute is open, and we may decline future purchases. If you think you were charged in error, email support@beaverise.com first and we will look into it.

6. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the account settings page. Upon deletion:

  • Your account and associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
  • Any active paid subscription will be cancelled, with no refund for the remainder of the billing period and no refund for any one-time purchase already made.
  • We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from account deletion.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse our services. We will provide notice and an opportunity to export your data when possible.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScholarPad and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
